writes: i really like this guy that i work with and every time we go out drinking we end up kissing, but when we are sober we only hug, but he hugs everyone!a year ago (when drunk) he told me he liked me but nothing has happened since,did he mean it? i'm too scared to ask him out just in case he says no! people also think he is gay! is kissing when drunk a hidden sign that he likes me or am i reading in too far? what should i do?

This exact thing happened with me and my ex boyfriend. We were friends, and he was the huggy type with everyone, and a lot of people thought he was gay. When sober, there was a bit of flirtation between us, but not much. But like you, everytime we went out and got drunk, we would end up kissing all night. One night, this kissing turned into him asking me out, and then obviously, the kissing automatically happened when we were sober too. Id say try and flirt when sober... if you get no response back, dont take it any further - you dont want things to get awkward. It might just be that hes shy and hasnt got the guts to ask you out. You also need to ask yourself is it just you that he kisses when hes drunk, or is he like this with a lot of women?

I'd say don't read too much in to it because, well everyone knows what guys can be like eh especially when they're drunk!I think you should bring the subject up casually, have a laugh about it and move on. If it was a year ago and he hasn't mentioned anything since, he could either be ridiculously shy or he could have just been ridiculously drunk! If you like him however, you should tell him because you really have nothing to lose. If he doesnt like you back just let him know that you respect that and you still want to be his friend.
