A female Australia, anonymous writes:

I have been in love with this guy (lets call him Fred) for a year, he is 17 and im 14. He said he liked me but im too young and if i was older he would go for me. I understand im too young but i cant seem to let go. I really want a boyfriend, a lot of guys ask me out but i continually say no.

I cant seem to find a guy that i really like. My last boyfriend was a year ago a few days before i started to like Fred*.

I have also never kissed a guy, i have had opportunities, but it doesnt seem right.

What should i do?

cd206 agony auntI really hope this doesn't sound patronising but Fred did the right thing. In the future three years won't be a big age gap but right now it's kinda important. Another guy will come along in time but it seems to me that you're still so hung up on Fred that your body language is probably telling other guys you're off limits. Give yourself some time to get over Fred and then I'm sure the guys will be knocking down your door.
