He doesn't know I exist, how can I get his attention?

A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I like this boy I saw on facebook (: like... really bad. He goes to a school near mine. He's in the year above me.- And the same race.

We have 25 mutual friends, and hes close to my cousin and her friends. But I cant ask her for help.

My friend request is still going through at the moment.

But this boy has no idea that I exist.

I have a friend whos boyfriend is his close friend, but they might break up so that might not be an option.

The only negative thing is .. He hangs around with the popular 'black' crowd after school at the station. They're the people who think themselves all hard and are all proud and talk in extreme slang.

And I don't want him to think I'm just a lame idiot if I talk to him. - Because I hang out with the mid-popularity people.

Basically what should I do to take our relationship a step forward? (i.e friendship then y'know...)
