writes: This may sound a bit stupid but to a young girl at school, trust me it ain't, well hear i go, am having trouble at school, its the school dance soon and i think i'm the only one without a date, all my friends have a guy or a girl to go with and the fact that i don't is really getting me down, so much i'm even thinking of not going.  I know this must really be terrible for you, but have you considered asking a cousin or another relative of a similar age to accompany you to the dance? This is not an uncommon thing to do, others have gone this route before, so why not give it a try? Your school dance is a big deal, I understand, so you should not deprive yourself of this occasion, over not having being asked by a boy... You will regret not going later in life, so dont let anything spoil it for you. Hope you do have someone in your family circle to go with you, if not, have you tried asking someone at school who maybe is in the same position as you? Maybe there is a shy guy that hasn't yet asked a girl to go with him, fish around to find out, and put yourself out there, you deserve to go and enjoy the dance as much as anyone else in your school, so best of luck and take care.
