A male Canada age 41-50, *ig Heated writes:

I have a broken heart because my ex girlfriend has a boyfriend and I truely love her and want her back. What can I do??

I dated my ex girlfriend for a year in a half. I'm 32 she's 24 and we were a very good looking couple. She always talked about getting married and kids and I always said whats your hurry? Theres a big world out there to see. She really loved me and at the end I pushed her away by not paying attension to her and going out and partying during the Winter Olympics til early in the morning. I was a dick and took her for granted. I didnt know what I had till it was gone. She broke up with me and was intantly dating this guy she said she was not attrackted to. I found out he is older, 35 and not the best looking. She told me she was first just talking to him, mostly about me and now he took her from me. He probably told her everything she was wanting to hear and is treating her so good because she is amazing inside and out. I'm so worried that because this guy is older and astablished with a good career she might marry him!

Anyways after she moved out and a week of being broken up my heart began to hurt really really bad. I started to feel lost, empty, abandand and worthless. I couldnt eat, sleep or look at another girl and all I could think about was my ex. It was if someone died but worse. I lost it, and asked her sis what to do. She said to tell her how I really feel. So I went and got a diamond promise ring and a rose and asked her to come by my house to talk. She didnt know what there was to talk about and didnt want to come, so I told her that I got a ring and a rose and got the dog to do a trick and I was crying on the phone and she was too. She said she would come the next day to give me a hug and she didnt mean to hurt me. So she came by, gave me a long long passionate hug and a peck kiss and said she doesnt see us together and not to wait around. I cried a lot and said I just dont get it, and she was stone cold. I've been crazy heart broken since and reached the lowest point in my life with thoughts of ending it but never would. I did not contact her for a week in a half when I was out on Saturday night at a bar trying to have fun like people said to do and some guy said he saw this guy and he is old as fu#* and I better do something or she will be gone. So I text " Hi ex hunny, hope your having fun with your new bf, me and my dog have never been so insulted, your so done in our lives, i wish I knew your so cold." Two days later she text me asking if I had her hubcaps. But I think she knows they are at her parents. I waited two days to reply wich is today and said. "I looked and couldnt see them. I think there at your parents." She said "k thanks for looking!' I sad "your welcome' I'm trying to give her space and nc. But is there anything else I can do. I dont want to loose her forever and I know people say move on but im a fighter and I dont want to give up on my love! I love her family so much too. I know what I did wrong to push her away, I left her alone and didnt pay attension to her. I am changing and I know we could live happily ever after.

Can someone help me? I am a good person and at one point we loved each other so much.

Thank you

Thank you so much for your replies.

I'm confused now because everyone I talked to said to not contact her so she can have her space and have a chance to miss me. Girls want what they cant have. Show her I've moved on. If I chase her I will push her away more. But at the same time I don't want this guy to Marry her and have kids with her. And I dont want her to think that I am giving up. He's already had dinner at her parents because they have family dinners every sunday. I don't know really how she feels. She is a one guy girl and has very few friends besides her sisters. Thats why we were best friends and now this guy is her best friend. I'm crushed! She did text me yesturday but was it about her hubcaps or was it a way to comunicate with me after the text I sent her satureday night. So my question is What is the best thing to do? No contact and hope, pray that one day she see's I've changed and betterd myself and I am the man of her dreams? Or write her a letter telling her I know why she left me for this guy and how I really feel about her with all my heart? Or try to run into her or text her?

She use to tell me everyday she loved me so much, now shes gone! And I am in pain everyday. I should'nt be when I know she's doing another guy, but its how I feel.

I love her.

RAINORFIRE agony auntHmm i agree 24 is to young to get married 30 is pushing it but women have a bio clock thats ever tiking, so they try to speed things up i mean you can have kids at 40 theeese days so whats the rush right.

any whoo, suggest being very agressive like go hiroshima on your love pleas your gonna have to combat this guy she with whoes probably got her wrapped around his finger.

i would say be very agressive untill she gets a restraining order. One thing you need to stop all the crying i mean theres other ways to beg you can just tell her straight up your not ready to loose her and that you have invested to much time and care about her to much to just let her walk out of your life tell her the only way you will give up is if she tells you she hates you.

oh and stop throwing the love word around.. it make sit cheap, you words like i care for you your important to me your a special person in my life etc, step your game up.

or you could just try and be friends for awhile and slowly work your way back into her good graces have some patience.

Okay buddy, here is what you do. I am 25 year old male and I know how it feels, so thats why I am going to lay it down for you. You messed up by not showing her affection and making her more lonely than she ever thought she could would be. Well, if you switched places with her what would you want her to do. Buying some ring is not going to change her feelings, you have to grab her with everything that you are and tell her exactly how you feel. But, there is a kicker. Offer her something that you know she will not be able to turn down. Don't leave the ball in her park. Go buy the best flowers you can find, write the most sappy love card you have ever written in your life, and look as best as you can. Come up with a life plan you might like to propose to her and show her that you have grown up and do not want to spend your life in a bar. Go and find her where she is alone or with someone besides her new hubby and lay it on her. Flowers, sappy card, life plan and "I love you and the thought of losing you makes me sick, I want to spend the rest of my life with you" and then mention things she likes to do, follow up with a kiss and a big hug. Boom done, she will be yours, I promise. She does not like this new guy, he is just giving her something that you never did, AFFECTION!!!!
