A reader, anonymous, writes (30 August 2012):

Its the things that we face up to during a break up that we eventually come to terms with, and no longer hold hurtful memories for us when its all said and done. But its the little things that seem insignificant at the time that we overlook and push to the back of our minds and simply forget about, that can eventually come back to haunt us. A bit like a problem, if you just push it to the back of your mind and don't deal with it at the time, it will always be there and eventually it will pop up again and still need solving.

I know exactly where you're coming from. I still remember things from past relationships to this day, and although I'm 99.9% over the past, these things still bring back hurtful memories because I'd forgotten about them for so long.

So no, its not a silly thing to be upset about hun.
