My wife has been pregnant for a second time time in 2 years, during her pregnancy I have had no sex at all. For the past few months I have been feeling both guilty for wanting sex and also for my attraction TO other women. I know that it is understandable, but I feel my mind is strong but my flesh is more incredibly weak than I believed. I love her, but I am just too a handsome guy to keep playing this baby sitting game.... I know I should not, but I am craving affection elsewhere -- its just wrong! I have always respected and adored her, but I am fighting a losing battle.

rk06 agony auntI'm not sure about the first question.

Yes, men do get stretch marks. I myself got them on my upper chest and groin area from lifting weights my senior year of high school for football. Anytime your skin is stretched too far you get a stretch mark.

A female reader, birdynumnums Canada +, writes (11 April 2007):

birdynumnums agony auntUnless you have been told by your Doctor that you should not have sex, because of a high risk pregnancy, you can have sex right up till the end - as long as it's comfortable for you. You will need to find other positions because at a certain point, the missionary position will put too much weight on your tummy. Orgasms while you are pregnant will help stimulate your womb and sometimes produce Braxton Hicks contractions that are the practice contractions that your body uses to get ready for real labour. You'll know because your belly will get hard like a rock - these mostly happen in the last trimester. Don't do anything that is uncomfortable for you, go slower or less deep if you don't feel comfortable. Let your body tell you what is best. Don't blow air into the vagina (I alway read this, but I'm still wondering about why anyone would do this???). If there is any bright red spotting, talk with your Doctor or midwife. Women often have sex to "bring on" labour after their due date, because the orgasm can stimulate the womb and contractions. Stimulating the nipples can help toughen them up if you are planning on nursing. The hormones during pregnancy can give some women a very high sex drive, they can want much more sex than before they were pregnant, but other women (those who are already parents) aren't as interested in sex, probably though exhaustion. Having sex during the pregnancy also strengthens the bond that you and your husband have and helps with the nesting instinct while you anticipate the birth of your child. My daughter also just chirped in with - "Dimples are proof that your parents had sex when your Mom was Pregnant" - BUT THAT'S definately NOT TRUE, lol. So, go ahead, relax, and bond with your partner. Congrats and Best Wishes.XXX

Guys get stretch marks, I know one athelete who increased his thigh muscles and he had them. Stretch marks can look a little red in the beginning, but that redness goes away and they fade back to skin tone with time. Most people swear by cocoa butter and massage. Mine are a badge of Honour, and I earned every last one of them!!!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (11 April 2007):

As long as your pregnancy is proceeding normally, you can have sex as often as you like as the baby is protected by the amniotic fluid in your uterus. You should only have sex if your in the mood and he should understand that being pregnant you can suffer from hormonal fluctuations, fatigue and nausea may sap your sexual desire, Also we tend to think of stretch marks as something that affect women much more that men but that is just not true.Men are just as likely to get stretch marks as women. It is just that men's stretch marks tend to be covered by hair so are less obvious.

Hope this was helpfull and congradulations on the pregnancy

PoSiOnKiSS agony auntim not 100% sure about it harming the baby but i just know that you can have sex whilst pregnant. i wouldnt think it was a good diea if you were heavily pregnant but i just know you can have sex whilst pregnant.

and yes men do get stretch marks, you get stretch marks when you put on weight because your skin stretches and even when you lose it your skin may still have them, thats why alot of over weight people not end up losing the weight via surgery.

hope this helps x
