Does penis size play into women's fantasies?

A male United Kingdom age 30-35, Alec writes:

Ok, another penis size question, I know, but bear with me !

Ok I guess my question is: does the idea or sight of a substantially larger than average penis, turn most women on? Is a big one arousing? More esthetically pleasing. More likely to prompt fantasies?

Thank you all for taking the time to read and answer this,

Alec

This is funny because just last night I had a dream I was having sex with a guy and he had a really big penis. My husband's is relatively small and thin. Normally it doesn't bother me, but I think it would be nice if he had a thicker penis at least. I can only have an orgasm if I am on top, and it would be great to be able to enjoy other positions. I have been able to have an orgasm with other men before I was married, who had larger penises so I know that's why. My husband & I do it in all kinds of positions, and of course he can orgasm no problem in every position. But I can't and it really sucks for me. But I know that not all women have this problem.

I had a boyfriend once with a huge penis, and he had NO IDEA what to do in bed. I also had a boyfriend once with a tiny one. I wanted to laugh, it was useless, but I never told him the truth. My fiance has a normal one, perfect for me and is absolutely bloody amazing with it. I cant get enough. But I must say, really small ones are a turn off, I mean what can you do with them? you couldn't feel a thing. Size does matter and every woman knows it, they might lie and say otherwise to save feelings, but it does matter.

A female reader, stem1981 United Kingdom +, writes (17 April 2008):

A large penis is initially a turn on but is no the be all and end all.

My ex didnt have the largest penis. But he was really good with what he had. As we had a good sex life it didnt take much for him to keep it up. I had only been with him for the 9 years of my love life and had never exerienced any other penis before. When we broke up I met another bloke who penis was so much fatter than my exes and yes is really got me excited and when it was up it felt really good. But the downfall was that it took so much work to keep it up and I felt to tired of trying. I'd say I prefered my exes to this guys one. Comparing the two I think a combination of confidence, working your penis, loving the other person and pleasing her in other ways are more apealing and I would chose this over a larger penis.

Fade878 agony auntNo.

An unusally large penis makes me run for the hills. The average penis size is better able to stroke a woman's gspot-just men may not always focus on this fact.

Being I am a woman; I fantasize of the man I give my affections to and how he kisses, touches, and how he speaks to me.

Yes, women see a big one and get all excited by their tendency to fantasize of being whipped and controlled by one.

It seems very few women are that excited by what a man has between his legs versus above his waste.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (17 April 2008):

Well I never think of penis size, lol...

It's more of a stereotype, I think. You know, when women are in a group of women they all joke and talk about big penises, just because it's fun to imagine, to talk, to joke about, etc. Same way as men like to talk about perfect women, or big breasts, when they're with their male friends. It's just a fun topic. I actually believe it's also made it's way into our culture by making us believe it's better because it sells more. Natural big penises and big breasts are rare, so the media takes advantage of this to make it the "it" sex appeal feature, thus making you believe it's more attractive, because they can sell products to make you believe you can achieve it.

But, really, even if women did fantasize about it, from what I've heard, it's not the greatest thing. Some claim it's better, these women are probably just saying so to brag because they feel insecure (just like some men who brag). Some won't care; a penis is a penis and as long as it stays up everything is fine (I'm one of them). And also, and you can find a lot of these on the internet, there are wone who actually seek help because their partner has a big penis and intercourse is anything but pleasurable; it's painful.

So don't worry, even if some women DO fantasize about it, truth is, fantasies are just that ;)
