Does he really like me? Or should I just move on?

Question - (22 January 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 23 January 2008)
A female Malaysia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

There's this guy who I like in school. I added him in Friendster and eventually started sending messages to him. After a while, I asked for his email. A few months later, I decided to IM him. He said he just 'wanted to message me'. He asked if I had a boyfriend and also for my number.

We started to get to know about each other a lot now. We text and IM A LOT. He DOES show interest like asking help for his homework (and he's 2 years older. But age doesn't matter in my school so yeah) etc. He knows I like him somehow cause his best friend asked me once and I admitted it. It was obvious too cause he caught me staring at him and I flirted a bit etc.

He's nerdy but doesn't look like one but he's cute. No one likes him except me.

However, he says that he feels lonely without his ex. They still hang out together a lot but he still has feelings for her (she dumped him). He wouldn't look at me that much because I THINK he's shy cause he keeps looking at his best friend who's just relaxing.

But then I told his best friend that I like someone else and maybe he told my crush that I don't like him anymore. (The someone else is a new kid, by the way)

I'm scared this will affect his soon-to-be feelings for me.

I need to know

a) Does he really like me?

b) Should I forget him and move on?

c) How should I fix this situation?

Laura1318 agony auntHe still likes his ex over you.You told his best friend that you liked somebody. That will spell the end of this friendship.

It is not easy to convinced him that you like him again.

Better to move on and if he is interested, he would contact you.
