writes:so im a teenager and here is a guy i like called 'sam' well i've kown him for months but recently we are much close than before. when the school started he started to treat me diffrently. like he always tease me and he jump from no where when im with my friends and he tries to join convos. when im in the clasd he just appears to be near or close to the place i am in. and he once heared me talking with my friend that im going out on friday and in friday was valentines day and he said what am i going to do the next day. and sometimes he flirts with me but nit in a direct way and hr make lots of eye contact. But these days he just act normal and he keeps on flirting with my best friend infront of me. Is he trying to test me or make me jealous? Does he likes me? Or is he just being nice to me? Please help.

reader, anonymous, writes (1 March 2014): hi, it's me again! my other answer wasn't clear, and i just spotted that! ok, yes, i think he likes you. so he was giving you hints before, but because you wern't picking up on them, he's trying a different tactick. this guy who is now my bf done this. once when i asked him why he said, "hun, it's something guys do to make sure you like them!" so i think he likes you, but don't ask him out, drop him obvious hints like punching his arm. not a hard one, a soft playful one. be chatty and open. show him you're available, and let him do the asking!

You might not have shown enough interest when he was making the effort with you and so now he's moved on to your best friend, boys do that a lot at your age, doll. They never stray far from the girl that first liked and they flirt with their friends, it's a childish game to get a reaction.
