A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

This is gonna be kinda long......so I apologize in advance.

I have a guy friend whom I have known for almost 2 years now. We are both college students, took an intro class for our major together and ever since then, we talk every now and then (like say hi to each other while passing by and things like that.

Just a few months ago, we found out that we are born on the same day (just different years) and so we exchanged phone numbers so we can celebrate our birthday together. Since then....we've been hanging out a lot, texting A LOT (at least 150 txts per day) and talk on the phone at least once every two nights, he would even send me "thoughtful and sweet" goodnite/good morning texts.

Since the beginning of summer, he has gone shopping with me (volunteered to tag along....), invited me to his little get-together BBQ party at his house, drove an hour to see me and hang out for a few hours, go eat and what not.

I keep having the feeling that he likes me this whole time but maybe he was too shy to actually show it. But there are times when he would say "OMG, you are like the perfect girl! Cute, honest, smart, easy going, but not too loud....." The other day, while we were on the phone, I think he was a little drunk and accidently blabbed out "I think I am starting to have feelings that are more than just friends for you, I think I am starting to like you a lot, I enjoy every moment with you, I think about you all the time......Hell, I even wanna take you out!" I kinda joked it off like I always do and just never brought up the whole thing ever again.

Today....he gave me a surprise visit, but since I had something going on, he kinda waited around for 2 hours, then when I was finally done, we went out to eat. When the bill came, I drew out my CC and was gonna pay for my half, but he ended up giving my card back and paid the whole bill. Later, we went out for some desert, same thing, he tried to pay, but this time, I was one step ahead and paid for the dessert. Then we went out to a park, played some frisbee, lay on the grass in the shade and just chit chatted away and wrestled for a bit, played some grass fight......lol.

The whole time we were together, walking, or even just laying there, I feel like he is "trying" to get a little bit closer, like there are times where we'd brush pass each other. but I am the kind of girl who keeps a certain distance most of the time, so usually, if we brush, I would kind of pull that distance again.

Now....I do like the guy, quite a lot. We have a lot in common, he is a guy but can be like a little chatty girl at times, which is really sweet. But we are also such good friends that I am afraid that it could be just a "good friend thing" you know?

What do you think?

I think he likes you. I think you should be the first one to "man up" and tell him you like him and pray he shares his same feelings with you too! You got nothing to loose.
