A day later he texts to see if I want to hang out at the beach and so I went. We talked for hours and it was just him and his brother but then his brother left with other of their family members so it was just us talking for 2 hours, we got in the water, had a couple of beers and all along I knew what I wanted to do and what he probably wanted to do. so after hours of talking and talking I finally just decided to kiss him since he was hinting at it by caressing my shoulders and what not. This guy lacked assertiveness, I don't know... we went to his place, we showered, we cuddled and made out but once it was going to happen, he didn't have protection and i simply flat out let him know that I couldn't unless he got protection and so he wwet out to get some and came back but by then, I was no longer in the mood and things got awkward. We literally stayed up all night talking and kissing here and there, he went down on me and I pleasured him too and when things got going again, we got interrupted by his cousin. After a while, I just gave up but out of politeness I just talked.... alot and even though he wanted me to spend the night and I guess I did too, I didnt. I left and I regret it:( because the next day he left town. We shared our goodbye texts the next day but I couldn't help it but to think that I hate myself for leaving that night even if it was just a one night stand. Well, we didn't have sex but a lot of things happened. These past 3 days I've been thinking about this guy which is so weird because it's not like it was anything meaningful but at the same time I'm curious and i want to send him a text. He's far away (my neighbor state) but I wonder if he feels the same way...probably not (I know this is silly) I want to see him again just to have some fun. Soon it will be summer and me and my friends are headed to his hometown and i just want to know if it would be weird to text him a "funny catch up text and mention how I'm actually visiting the area soon". Do you guys think that I will weird him out? Is it worth risking it? I have his number but I haven't texted anything because that's like going against the rules of what a one night stand is. I hate this. :/

reader, anonymous, writes (12 April 2015): What rules? Did he make it clear to you that this was just a one off and to never contact him again? It doesn't sound like it. You have his number, so use it and do exactly what you suggested. If you both found things to talk about for hours, it sounds good to me. Be prepared though, for it to go either way.

 Why not? So what if he says no thanks? I'm sure there will be other attractive guys in that town.
Now, if you are HOPING it will lead to more then some NSA (no strings attached) I wouldn't put my hopes up.
But really what is the worst thing that can happen by texting him?
