On the average, I think it is equal. However, both men and women have very low and very high sex drives. The problem is that a couple's sex drives rarely match. Mine was always much higher than my wife's, but I have read many posts on forums like healthboards where the woman complains that her partner can only have sex 2 or 3 times a day and she wants it more. Sex drives also change as we age, both up and down. Mine was highest when I was in my mid 30s to late 40s. My wife's was highest in her 30s. It also changes with a person's attitude on life, like how considerate their partner is or after a life change, like a divorce.

Up until a few hundred years ago, women had a reputation for being over-sexed and horny all the time and it was the man's job to keep the women in line... then, a cultural shift occurred and the roles were reversed, men were viewed as over-sexed and women were viewed as demure and chaste. These perceptions have absolutely no bearing on reality.
In each of my relationships, I have often been just as sexually driven or more sexually driven than my partners. This is true for the vast majority of the women I have met, as well.
These sorts of gender-based generalizations are harmful to relationships between people of the same sex. I suggest you discard every "men are this way" and "women are this way" notion you have ever had, and judge people individually. There is no great rule that says that men are more sexual than women. Women are sexual beings by nature. So are men. Some individuals may be more sexual and some may be less, but the line cannot be drawn between the genders.
Keep this in mind, don't let stereotypes cloud your view!

Not necessarily. I've known quite a few ladies who drove me up the walls, wore me out and made it hard to keep up with them. In my opinion, it's about equal, but women still tend to hide their desires until they finally realize that it is best to let it be known with a guy that they wish to share love, or at least their passions.
Women are becoming bolder all the time it seems, but should remain very selective - yet open if it feels right. Most men are jerks and totally self-absorbed, no doubt, but great guys are available. Guys are always or equally horny, but not really much more than available females. Once the panties hit the floor, there never seems to be any reservations about making love hot and passionately. Just an older single man's opinion.

Generally speaking with exceptions, that is true ,for men can have sex with anything , even with a bicycle!
It's those hormones, testosterone.

Hi,
again another generalisation. But I would say in many circumstances yes. Men can usually be called on for sex at any time, whereas women tend to need to be in the mood.
But I've met girls who are horny 90% of the time and there are plenty of men out there who don't have sex - so its hard to really say either way.
