Do guys like it when girls get really wet during sex?

A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi. This is my first time on this site, and I can't believe how helpful it has been! My question is: Do guys like it when girls get really wet before/while having sex? I ask this because I tend to get very turned on during sex, and get really wet. I am one of those people that worries a lot about things that sometimes don't matter at all; in my mind I begin to think 'oh no this is getting messy blah blah blah' when really it may not be an issue at all! Getting very wet even prevents me from having guys go down on me or finger me because I worry that getting very wet isn't what is preferred by guys (and I'm kinda shy so if it's my first time with a guy I get paranoid). I get wet just from dancing closely with guys! So, do guys like it when a girl gets very wet?

And a sidenote question: Would it be weird for me to keep paper towels or something by the bedside to wipe off at points?

I honestly want to hear anyone's opinion who is willing to share, but I hope I hear from guys on this because I genuinely want to know what you think!

A male reader, soon567 United States +, writes (20 November 2010):

Do no such thing girl. You become wet for a reason and the feel of your wetness on the male penis causes a lot of friction when it comes to condoms. Guy like the feel of it and it also is the main cause why a guy’s comes fast or slow. The wetter you are is the faster he’ll release. If you’re dryer then it will takes him longer to cum. Your wetness will create a 360 vacuum and as he’s going in and out it’s like a complete massage of his penis.

So your wetness has a purpose!

you are fortunate--it means your body is reacting the way it should! when it's not wet, you aren't turned on (big disappointment for the guy) or there is something wrong with your girly bits. and be sure to enjoy it while it lasts--one effect of menopause is the reduction of vaginal secretions.

Hello All, I am the person that posted this question. Thanks so much for the response!

So guys do tend to like this..and even if they don't, it's not an irregular quality in ladies. Good to know!

The only thing is that I get wet to the point where I think it's harder for guys to feel friction. Would it really be weird to do a quick wipe if there's an opportunity? I only say this because I really think it would enhance the sex for the guy, but I don't want to be doing weird things hah! What do you think? Maybe it'd be weird if it's my first time with someone, but ok after getting to know someone better and having many sexual encounters...

Love it.

Great...who needs towels.

Oral sex...not just fine, but great, and the wetter the better, tastes great.

Afterward it can be a bit damp, and if snuggling it may feel a bit off for the woman as the wetness cools. Just keep a dry towel handy to tuck in with, or use the sheets if you have them. Don't worry about wiping during the foreplay and intercourse, you get wet for a reason.

Remember, nothing turns a good guy on more than a woman who is turned on by him. If a guy doesn't like it, he may be intimidated and you may need to teach him.

Yes, it absolutely does make me hot to see that. The wetter the better. Only drawback, and this is being picky, is a lot of wetness reduces the friction during sex and prolongs me finishing. I am not a quick cummer, so sometimes this can be a bit of an issue. But chances are, if she's that aroused, I'm getting off on her sexuality more than just the sensation.

Lucky you! It is not a negative. Embrace the full joy of your female sensuality. Don't wipe it away, just go from session 1 to the bathroom, and have a shower together(do not leave him to shower alone), and enjoy long kisses in the shower, while water cascades over you. Then towel each other and continue with session 2 of your lovemaking. Cherish your gift.

Good lubrication makes everything better. My husband loves it.

The only issue for me is wanting to keep the mattress under the sheets pristine from semen/lubrication stains . So there is a padded washable overlay, (we have 4 -one on the bed and 3 spare- since it takes time to dry after being washed ) sandwiched between the sheet we sleep on and the mattress top. It can be quickly pulled out and a new overlay substituted, as required.

Just a follow up to my earlier post. I'd guess that if you said something like "Oh my god, I am so turned on right now it's practically squirting out!" to a guy he'd get so turned on he'd go nuts. You might not want to say that the very first time you're with a guy just in case he's the type who doesn't like it, but I think many guys would love it. (Then again, I've never discussed this issue with any guys, so I'm just guessing based on what I like)

Personally I absolutely love it. The more the better. I'd love it if my woman completely soaked the sheets every time. It's a huge turn-on. I don't mind a bit when it comes to oral either. It lets me know the woman is really into it.

The only thing that bothers me is if a woman doesn't get wet.

I think a lot of guys like it, and I'm not a guy but, I know when i'm NOT wet down there, it's really irritating to get my boyfriend's penis inside and it kind of hurts if your not wet and It's better to be turned on then not really enjoy anything at all and getting wet shows you are turned on. So, be happy that you do get like that!

Of course we like it!! Nothing to be shy about! I prefer to keep baby wipes at the bedside, they are nicer on your sensative areas. ;) use them for cleaning up afterwards though, no need to do it during the deed!

Keep paper towels nearby for him if he wants, but I hope you don't mean that you'd be dabbing yourself DURING sex...
