I was never asked whether I masturbated or not. Since these girls you've met ask you about it, why don't you try asking them to be the first to tell whether they masturbate? This is the same game they are playing on you. If they say they do, then you can call them gross. If they say they don't , you can say you'd grow hairs in your palms if you did. Et cetera.

Like when we're in fifth grade and the sex ed teacher says "penis" and everyone giggles and all teh girls make grossed out faces?
It's the same thing. When those people are older, the word penis won't make them giggle or be grossed out. It may just be arousing to woman or have no effect at all.
Reaction to sexual thigns change with age.
It's a very healthy thing to do so don't worry about it. You don't really need to be out talking about it though. I woudl keep it to yourself.

I can't speak for all girls but it's possible that they either really do think it's discusting or do it themselves and are tryinng to cover that up.
I'm a 15 year old girl and I don't think there's anything wrong with guys OR girls doing it (i do it myself, in fact) but there are also girls out there who think it's wrong for girls and guys to do it. It's really down to the individual.
