Sweet-thing agony auntJoin a program like Nutrisystems or Jenny Craig and eat only their pre-portioned foods. You'll drop weight quickly without feeling hungry all the time and I would suggest at least 30 min. of aeorbic exercise (bicycling, running, fast-paced walking, treadmill, hiking, skating, dancing, kick-boxing -- whatever you enjoy) a day to keep your energy level up, and light weights to keep muscle tone in good shape. Good luck.

Fairy_Lu agony auntWomen should eat 2000 caloriews per day so your body works right, to lose weight remember DONT SKIP MEALS skipping meals causes the body to go into stravation mode (meaning it stores everything you eat as it doesnt know when it will eat again so eat 3 meals a day)and that makes you gain weight, best way to lose weight is cut out treats (sweets cake chocolate) and snack on fruits and veg instead of usual things you snack on, also dont eat to many carbs (bread potatoes pasta)im not saying cut them out completely but limit the amount, but the best way to lose weight is excercise an hour a day should do it (but dont panic to much if the scales go up muscle weighs more then fat) a great and fun excercise is pole dancing its great fun and really tones you up, Oh and a good tip is dont eat after 6pm because its better for your digestive system and sleep pattern also cutting out sugary drinks tea or coffee with milk and sugar (its ok if there isnt any milk or sugar) can help

A female reader, pgissyd United Kingdom +, writes (26 November 2007):

pgissyd agony auntThe very best diets are healthy eating plans rather than diets.

Eat a good breakfast (cereal), for energy, with fruit juice to de-tox your body, then if you must snack at any part of the morning, only snack on fruit or a vegetable, try carrot sticks. Mid-day have your main meal, this could be a roast dinner on sunday or a hearty spagetti and meatballs, whatever you would normally have as a main meal in the evening. agin snacks should only be fruit or veg, and drinks should be fruit juice or water, coffee and tea will slow the natural digestive process of your body and makes it more difficult to loose weight. Then for your evening meal have what you would normally have ad for lunch, be that some salad sandwiches or a pot noodle, as long as its light, so your body can digest it efore you go to bed in the evening.

If you go to bed a few hours after having a large meal, your body will absorb the fats and calories in the food, rather than burn it all off, if you have you main meal in the middle of the day, your body has a chance to burn off all the bad stuff.

Going to the gym is a brilliant idea, go at least once a week, two or three times is even better.

Make sure you talk some exersize everyday, alot of people say 30mins daily, but you do what you feel is right for you. If its a ten minite run or an hours walking, its what suits you without overdoing it, or you could damage your body rather than do it good.

So in short, change your eating habits, DO NOT crash diet, you can still have pudding and chocolate, just make sure its in the middle of the day and not the evening, and not in excess, exersize regularly, but dont overdo it, and make sure you dont get too stressed. less cafine is a biggie and thats about it really.

Good luck xxxxxxxxxxx

lilifoxy agony aunti have been bullied all my life andl i have been "fat" all my life and i recently gave up on chocolate and all that crap. the best thing i have found is to eat as much as u usually would but swap the chocolate bar for a carrot or something which you won't feel guilty about. Also there are some great exercises you can do to make urself feel better. i do personal training with a great bloke. he really helps me but get ur family involved.

love-him agony auntHey hon, the healthy eating diet is the best and will last, you may have heard of the quick diets, but they dont work if you want to keep the weight off. You should cut your normal calory intake down by 500 which will be a great start. Cut out crisps and choc as they arent good at all. I hope i helped and feel free to mail me about anythign :) x
