So I was really wondering , how do you know if the date is going well?

I've been on this date with a guy and the whole date we were laughing and talking with a few moments of silence but we were together for 5 hours and it was really fun and at one time he was stating at me so I just made a funny face at him and said hello ? Did I ruin it ?

CindyCares agony aunt Naaahh, you did not.

As the other poster said, if your date lasted 5 hours we can reasonably assume that it went well, and that he was enjoying himself.

Then , dates do not have to be all " perfect " - all about deep thoughts, or romantic atmosphere. In 5 hours there's surely a time, or a few times, for jokes or silliness or even silences.

Dionee' agony auntHi OP.

When a date is ruined, trust me you will know.

The fact that the two of you were laughing and enjoying yourselves is a good sign. If the date lasted like 5 hours, that's also a good sign because who would allow themselves to be miserable for 5 hours on a date? Surely it wouldn't have lasted that long if he wasn't enjoying himself.

The question is; Did you enjoy yourself? If the answer is yes then he probably fed off your positive energy and had a good time as well.

My advice is, Do not overthink it and psych yourself out. Just go with it and have some fun.
