Dating someone who lives so far away, can it actually work?

A female Australia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Can long distance dating really work? I'm in the situation where i might be dating someone who lives over an hours drive from me. It's very early days, but i'm unsure if dating someone who lives so far away can actually work? Neither of us is going to move and we have only just met.

Has anyone else done the long distance dating thing and did it work? or did you find it too hard?

Advice appreciated, thanks.

I have also dated long distance. It just depends on if the both of you are willing to takt turns driving. If the both of you like each other and want a committment try it. Its not too hard. GOOD LUCK!

I had a bf who lived about an hour nd a half drive away, but only 45 mins on the train, which worked well for both of us. We did last for a year or so but then broke up for other reasons. The distance wasn't a real problem for us, we just took it in turns to travel.

Hope it all works out for ya!
