writes:I went on a date this weekend and had a great time. The man i was with said he wants to see me again. We had been chatting on social media and i decided to add him as a friend. When i checked if he had added me he had changed his settings so i couldnt resend a request. I then looked at his profile with my friends account and its open to be able to add as a friend. Why would he do this ?. we have been talking since i tried to add him and he saying about another date and that we will make plans. He doesnt know that i know anyone else could add him as a friend. I just thought it was odd how at the start he wanted me to add him and when i do he doesnt want it. Reply to this Question

 Maybe he was being polite, but then realized he might be going a bit too "fast" for his own liking.
Adding people that you are getting to know is not a bad idea, HOWEVER, I would wait until there is a few more dates under the belt, that you two WANT to continue to see each other.
Relax, he just isn't sure he wants you all up in his social media - and really, you shouldn't want him all up in yours.
Just take your time getting to know him IN person rather than on/through social media.

You should ask him outright the reason you cannot add him.
