in the UK, it is illegal for people under 16 to have sex or sexual contact *such as oral sex*, even though both people are under 16.also, no matter whether it is the boy or girl who is over 16, it is still illegal for them to have sex or sexual contact...

so yes it is illegal for you to have sex with your g.f at this moment in time...

Jamer70 agony auntDapone 1 gave the best advice here. If you were to do it and you two broke up she could tell the police what happened and you will get in trouble, worst case scenario you could go to jail and put on the sex offeneders register. Your best bet is too wait until she is 16

rcn agony auntYou have to check U.K. laws. I know here in the U.S. generally one year difference in age doesn't violate statute.

A male reader, dapone 1 United Kingdom +, writes (12 February 2008):

dapone 1 agony auntA 15 year old girl or boy are classed in UK law as a minors, you on the other hand are not, at 16 you are classed as an adult, and because of that fact, it is illegal for an adult to have a sexual relationship with a minor.

There is no limit to the statute on this law, you can be prosecuted even 20 years from now, if this event should happen and come out at a later date, usually when a person is convicted of this crime, they can have a jail sentence and be put on the sexual offenders register, this will follow you in every part of your life, career, future relationship, marriage, even if you were to have children of your own, social services will be on your case, because you are on the offenders register.

All it takes is for one of her parents to report you to the police, even if your girl friend said that she gave you her consent, because she is classed as a minor, she cannot consent to a sexual relationship.

Even tho i can understand the way you both feel for each other, the best course of action for you is do not do this act until she reaches her 16 birthday, i honestly think this is the best course of action to take, if not the rest of your life will be a total nightmare.

Hope this is helpful to you.
