 yes, you can tell if someone loves you or likes you by the way they look at you. sometimes they may stare with a blank face and soft eyes at you then look away quickly or embarresedly.

I think there are certain moments where one can be absolutely sure about that yes I am in love with you, forget about finding out if he/she loves u or not, do u love him/her or not is more important, once ur absolutely sure about that, u will know if he/she loves u or not. U have to be sure about yourself first, love is all-committal, without being sure u had'nt loved. Give in to the joy and stop speculating.

 Personally, I think if someone cares for you they will PROVE it to you by their actions...not just words and not just how they look at you. However, I do understand what you mean. If they were to look at you with all sincerity, and look deep into your eyes, not shifting or moving their eyes...but look straight at you, I feel as if they mean what they say. But again, actions speak louder then words. Sometimes we could also be seeing signs that are really not there...there those..."I remember when signs" or those "I sure DID love you signs"...don't confuse them.
If your wanting to know IF someone still loves you and wants to get back with you...just be patient and see what happens...if nothing, then it was nothing. If something, then you will know it is something.
