A female reader, anonymous, writes (14 June 2014):

Being a tall girl myself I've always been so-so about heels. However, my husband (who is a tiny bit shorter than me) loves me in heels. He likens it to dating a model. Whatever you are comfortable in I say go for it. I'm over a head taller than my husband in kitten heels. He loves it. So depending on who you're with and if you want to wear them.

Caring Aunty A agony auntI’ve autographed many a doorway with my forehead in my time especially throughout Europe… and that’s with wearing flat shoes! I’ve also been asked countless times; “…how tall are you?” Which I reply with a smile; “buy me and drink and I’ll tell you…”

Other than low clearance doorways and bridges I tend to wear heels only with a guy or company who are equally as tall as I am.

However (cheap) Stilettos have never been my thing… They’re too insecure with no ankle support, and poorly made for the cheaper market

Wear them with Confidence, Carriage and Clearance :)

Hi,

Yes, go for it. Very attractive.

My only thought is just be careful when passing under doorways. The extra height from 6 feet to 6 feet 4 or 5 can be very close to the door frame and you may not be used to that height difference. I am male around 189cm(6ft3-ish) and I sometimes have to stoop under a doorway.

Best wishes.

Honeypie agony auntIf you can walk in high heels, I say go for it.

Anyone, short or tall should WEAR whatever makes them happy or feeling good/sexy/classy/whatnot. The ONLY request I have.... is that people who wear high heels know how to wear them right and walk in them without looking like a dork. :)

I'm 169 cm (5'7") I I wore high heels, no heels, whatever I felt like when I was younger. These days I value comfort over "hot shoes" lol

I say go for it!~

olderthandirt agony aunti think most guys would say heck yes, the tyaller the better, however, I'd bet most girls would have a negative view. I would caution only that igh heels are dangerous in that the tendons that keep your foot from 'turning under' are very susceptable to breaking and being tall already creates a dilema in physics with the ankle being the weak point. bet you have seen women wobbly on heels. Tall women getting wobbly on high heels is even more shakey, maybe limiting the hiegth as much as possible will reduce the risk of an injury. Just be careful and to heck with others think. Be you!

So_Very_Confused agony auntwell should short girls wear flats?

wear what you like and what makes you comfortable.

I used to wear heels and I can't anymore and I miss them. I would never tell a woman who wants to wear heels that she should not.

just like I wear flats even for dressing up.

A female reader, CindyCares Italy +, writes (13 June 2014):

CindyCares agony aunt Honestly, if you ask me, no. A tall woman in heels can reach a freaky 6'4 or 6'5 and IMO maybe a few runway models have the posture , the attitude, the elegance to get away with that, all the rest certainly get noticed but ... aren't necessarily such a sight to behold.

Said that, please DO disregard my opinion if you feel good in heels. If you feel sexy, beautiful , confident , HAPPY with a particular item on , it always transpires, it always comes off, and it makes you attractive regardless of sizes / proportions.

Yep I say go for it! I'm a little shorter than you at 5ft 10ins, but I like to wear super high heels now and again which take me way over the 6ft mark. If others don't like it, then tough! Plus, it works for Elle Macpherson and co right?!

A female reader, llifton United States +, writes (13 June 2014):

llifton agony auntWell, I think it all really depends on what you're going for. Realistically, you should wear whatever makes you comfortable and feel good about yourself! However, at the same time, I also know that many men are uncomfortable at the prospect of being shorter than their woman. And I suppose the same goes for the other way around, as well - many women don't like being taller than their man. So as I said, I think it really just comes down to what you're going for. But bottom line, I think feeling good in your own skin is what matters most. And if it makes you feel good, that's all that matters. And the right guy couldn't care less if you were taller than him! So do what makes you happy!

I think you should wear whatever makes you comfortable!
