Shame is when you feel really bad or regretful about something you have done. It may make you feel sick or tearful and yes it can make you feel like withdrawing away from something or someone, especially the person you hurt.

eyeswideopen agony auntYou have NEVER felt ashamed and you made to 30 years old? Wow that has to be a record of some kind! Of course shame can make a person withdraw. Shame can cause a lot of different responses. If you want any helpful answers you'll have to provide more information.
