Can I still pull it off with my childish underwear?

A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I've never been sexually active with someone else before and never saw a need to impress. I'm having sex soon and don't know if my cotton polka dotted panties and plain bras will pull off the seductive look. I'm low on cash so can't go buying anything... Will he mind? I like my body though. I'm very confident about it and keep fit and don't mind my flaws. But will the childish undies be a turn off?

Mark1978 agony auntI don't think he will mind at all. He will be too busy getting excited about your body by the sound of it. Save your self a small fortune and leave the over priced, hyped up lingerie and be yourself. If you like polka dots then flaunt them!

Fatherly Advice agony auntAppropriate lingerie for the event if you ask me. Wear your newest pair. Seductive is many things, Innocent or inexperienced is the message these will send, those can be seductive. The confidence you have is going to be the most attractive part of the package.

So_Very_Confused agony auntThere is an old (semi-true) saying

"Men have two heads but they can only think with one at a time because when there is blood in one there is not any in the other"

He won't care. It's all about the attitude. I was wearing leggings a tee shirt and sports bra last night and my hubby was all over me....

Behavioural Analysis agony auntForgot to say, if he's not your boyfriend, but he is a good guy, he won't care.

Make sure you use condoms AND birth control! Stay safe and make sure you trust him to be gentle (tell him) first.

A female reader, Behavioural Analysis United Kingdom +, writes (20 August 2014):

Behavioural Analysis agony auntHe shouldn't care because you won't be wearing it long. If he's a good boyfriend, he won't mind. If he's not your boyfriend or if he's a dodgy boyfriend, he will mind and you can dump him because he's not worth it.
