My bf gets one all the time when i just make out with him. it is because of their testosterone level. if they dont have sex for a while it goes up. me and him have been dating for almost 2 months and i said i respect myself so he will have to wait 8 months at the least. he has not had sex in a LONG time so his testosterone level is high. it can also slightly depend on how much they care for you. thats just my advice. = D

In seriousness though, yes. This would generally increase the odds if they were kissing at the same time as hugging. The closeness and comfort of the situation helps. There would be less chance of an attentive soldier if the girls parents were in the same room as they were hugging.
