i agree with satindesire...he needs help with this problem....yeah he might want to loose weight but starving yourself for 3 days is very unhealthy..

he needs to eat godd proportinoate meals everyday...and excercise..how are muscles gonna build up if they dont get the amount of energy they need from your food??

so he has to eat..

satindesire agony auntEncourage him strongly to seek professional help. Almost no one can beat anorexia or Body Dismorphic Disorder without professional counseling/therapy and sometimes medication. It's not admitting failure to seek help, it merely means that he needs guidance to beat his weight issues.

well im not an expert...but i think the taller you are the more you're gonna weigh (not for everyone) im like "5ft 11in" and there are alot of guys in my school that are really tall..so they're sorta big, but not overwieght... so with a 30 waistline your boyfriend is fine...tell him not to worry about it..

but if he's still doen about it just comfort him ....everybody has something they're self conscious about..im like the same as your bf

gudd luck

A female reader, satindesire United States +, writes (10 March 2009):

satindesire agony auntYou were kind of vague about 'weight issues'. Can you provide more information?

Does he think he weighs too much? Too little? Does he eat normally and healthily? Does he exercise too much or too little? I can't advise you until I know -exactly- what kind of issues we're dealing with.

Also, there isn't really a set 'limit' to how much a person should weigh. What really matters is BMI, or a 'fat percentage' in the body. A man's healthy BMI is about 8-16% and a woman's is about 12-21%...so as you can see there is a lot of leeway on the idea of 'weight'.
