I believe I do a lot in a day such as school, work, my parents which are never satified with anything that I do. They're always expecting more and they always say I don't do enough. Which I think I do plenty, with school work, work, doing errans, taking my brother to work picking him up and picking my little brother from school and some guy drama, I feel exahausted at the end of the day. I have lately felt alone like nobody has time for me. Like I can't count on anyone to listen to me and give me their shoulder to cry on, like all they can do is nag on me for something I'm not doing. I've even gotten to the point that I don't want to live with my family, and I haven't spoken to my dad in two weeks. Him and I haven't really had a great relationship anyway. Maybe I'm just overwhelmed, but I'd really like to know if these are some signs of me being depressed?

It sounds like you are going through a tough time mentally because of all the responsibilities you are taking on which I think is normal at this time in your life. From a psychological standpoint, true depression is diagnosed if you are depressed for 2-3 months or longer, so if you still feel this way after a few more weeks you should see a psychologist or psychiatrist. I suggest that you find someone who you can talk to about these things, it will help you a lot to get things off your chest and be able to see things from a different point of view. It is not good for you to keep the things that are bothering you bottled up!

First of all because I was about to post one such question but wasn't sure about if this is the right place to post it! Now I am sue it is. Now to your question, Well I am a guy(who has never been in any kind of relationship) and there might be something about female hormones which I don't know. However I am going to give you my opinion. From looks of it, I don't think you are depressed. However you are not without a problem either. Let me ask you something very personal about yourself. Are you comfortable with what you are?(Don't think about your parents' version of "life" when you try to answer it too yourself.) I know many parents who want to live the world through their kids( and I don't mean your parents are in same league....possibly you could be misreading them). It is all about what you need think of life. I would say that just take a moment and think of what you wanna achieve( and why ...believe me this is important). You know a forum is jut too small a place to get you from life what you think of it.I would suggest have a look at it "www.wishcraft.com". If you think I have made any good to your life, please spare your parents(at least once......We as a kid often misjudge their roles!!) Wish you all the luck and grit you require to overcome all of this.

Only a doctor can diagnose you as being clinically depressed, it sounds as if you have a lot on your plate for one so young with all the things you do maybe you could talk this over with your Mum and tell her how your feeling both her and your dad may not realise your not coping too well with all these things your doing maybe your mum could arrange for someone else or even herself to pick your younger brother up from school and run your other brother to work you seem to be doing their job?
You cant be expected to do all that and concentrate on schoolwork i would talk this over with your mum because to me you sound down about all this and she needs to know how your feeling otherwise you may end up severely depressed.
