Are there ways to tell if a straight acting guy is a masculine undercover gay guy?

reader, anonymous, writes (11 August 2011): What a dilemma you're in. For one, let me first clarify....there are no straight gay men. If he indulges in same sex sex, then he is also gay. On the DL (down-low), but nevertheless...gay.
Ok, you cannot ever tell if a guy is gay just by his looks or mannerism. You don't want to approach the wrong guy, but you cannot tell just by looking or the way he is acting. I've found that 4 of my friends are gay and I never knew it and I've been knowing them for over 40 years.
