Are there any other signs of pregnancy apart from morning sickness? Like feelings, emotions and moods?

Question - (2 December 2007) 3 Answers - (Newest, 3 December 2007)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Okay, me and my boyfriend have been together for 7 and half months. I'm 15 turning 16 in January and he's a year younger than me. We really love each other and would do anything for each other.

So about a month ago we decided to have sex, well try any way. We used a condom and it was literally in and out and din't even go in all the way and I'm 90% sure that the condom didn't split.

We were both virgins so I'm not stressing about STD's and what not, but a week ago I missed my period and I'm starting to stress. Usually I'm late any way by a week and a few days give or take but I'm still worried. I told my mum a week after we had sex and she said that we'll wait and see if I come on or not and she'll take me to the doctors. I've told her that I didn't come on but she hasn't made much of an attempt to phone the doctor.

I haven't had any morning sickness and I don't really know what other major signs there are.

So firstly a question for mothers or women who have been pregnant - Are there any other signs apart from morning sickness? Like feelings, emotions and moods?

And a second question - What should I do?

Please help!

-Thanks

YummyMummy agony auntMoods and emotions definetly come in to it due to hormone levels increasing. As well as morning sickness there is a hunger issue. I had bad morning sickness early on in my pregnancy and was feeling really sick yet hungry at the same time.

Try to relax, which I know sounds stupid. The more you stress and work yourself up, the longer it'll take for your period to come. Try approaching your mum again and this time say you would like to see a doctor or get a home test. :)

bqagirl2692 agony auntThe more you convince yourself about a certain issue, the more you start to believe it. Your imagination can sometimes become a reality if you believe in it too much. Morning sickness doesnt mean that you are but there is still a chance that you could be. All i can say is that you should take some pregnancy tests and talk to your mother about arranging a doctors appointment to know for sure. Good luck!

birdynumnums agony auntTake an over-the-counter test if you are freaking out. Read the directions and follow them carefully. The moody part of pregnancy comes much later on when you are fully pregnant and uncomfortable. Talk with your Mom about getting that test and putting your nerves to rest. Take care.
