A female , anonymous writes:

Hi there! Does anybody know of a great book about self steem? I would like to find a book that helps shy people not be so shy and helps to find out if the person is really shy or has low self steam.

What is the difference between being too shy and having low self steem? All people who are shy have low self steam? Is it possible someone be too shy and still have self steam? Please, if anybody knows of a great book that talks about these things please let me know. Thanks.

A male reader, yum yum Switzerland +, writes (6 January 2009):

yum yum agony auntSelf esteem is what you think of yourself. (I will give a black and white example). A person with low-self esteem would think they are worthless and a loser. A person with high self-esteem would think they are a winner and have high self-worth. self-esteem is about what you think of yourself. Being shy is being insecure and uncertain in a situation. Being shy does not mean that you think little of yourself nor does it mean that you think a lot of yourself. For example you still can think that you have high self worth even thuogh you are shy somtimes.

Hope my example was useful!.
