If it's once and she says no, no problem. If he's asked before, and she said no, and he asks repeatedly, it's a sign that he doesn't respect her wishes and wants her to compromise.Sometimes lovers should be willing to try new things and be giving - however, I can see that in this case, some women are going to draw the line and it's NO FOREVER, don't ask again...Other's may be willing to try it once if they belive that they can trust their man. Done carefully, it can be great (for both the guy and the woman!), done otherwise it can be really bad. If the woman agrees but is scared it will NOT be a good experience as she will not be able to relax, and pain will follow...

reader, anonymous, writes (2 September 2009): I have to belive that the majority (51% or more women) dislike anal, however, I have to belive that the number that like it is somewhere between 30% and 50%... so there are plenty that do.Enjoying anal sex requires that you're in a very secure relationship and that you trust your partner - A LOT! about 1 in 3 of the girls I've been with enjoyed anal, and they REALLY enjoyed it, the others wouldn't even think of it.

I think if I were serious about a guy and wanted to be with him for life and he had a thing about anal sex then I may rethink our relationship.
It's just not something I could ever compromise on.

reader, anonymous, writes (31 March 2009): I think most women don't like it. There are a few who love it, but generally it's an experiment, something extra once in a while, or something that never happens at all.
I think that a woman might leave a man if she didn't want to do it and he forced her, or made her feel bad about not wanting to. If a guy only wanted anal sex all the time, I would seriously give that guy a skip.
The only way you will know if a woman likes it or not is to ask her! :)
