writes:Hi,I'm 17 and i have been on the pill for over a year. I didnt think it was anything at first but now its getting me mad. My periods have got heavier and heavier over the year and its got to the point were i cant wear tampons anymore because its so heavy.Am i on the wrong pill. What should i do ??please help xx

i had the same kind of problem my pill wasn't strong enough and sent my hormones ect just a bit wild and made my periods heavier instead of lighter. I was okay when i changedso you should just talk to your GP :)

Whether you're taking the pill to control your periods or for contraceptive purposes, it shouldnt make them that heavy. Go to your doctors and tell them whats happening and hopefully they'll give you another type of pill to take. I had to try out 3 different pills before I found the best one for me! Dont suffer for something thats easily fixed!!
