Am I giving him the wrong impression if I keep up the constant texting?

Some time ago (1 year to be exact) a guy from my grade 3 class contacted me. we were okay okay friends, not particularly close but we lost touch after i transferred school and moved away. eversince, we've been having these insane text messages conversations day and night. i've only ever met up with him a couple of times in real life because we live far apart and go to different schools. am i giving him the wrong impression if i keep up the constant texting and maybe occasionally (although very unintentionally) suggestive texts?
