 Myspace, Facebaook and bebo are the obvious choices.
But WAYN or Where Are You Know is good. It connects people via there area they live in and you can see where people live etc.
Though a wordof warning be carful who you meet and watch yourself out there.

dont go on chat rooms and sites to meet people you only get to know the wrong ones. you dont know who is in the chatrooms. depending on how old u r maybe you coul try going to social clubs, meet your friends friends meet people that way. join a sports club or take up a hobbie somewhere people might go. chatrooms arnt all you need to meet people but if you really want to why not go on google and type in chatrooms aged ..-..

 bebo? myspace? facebook? places like this are perfect coz u start with people in ur area and work your way round the globe in a way XD im from uk but have got mates in australia and spain now
