 If he's your coach, then that's illegal. And you might want to reconsider any kind of relationship, as he could be fired, not to mention ruin his reputation.

 I agree completely with person12345. A mature 22 year old with any resemblance of common sense will know better than to pursue a 16 year old, regardless of gender. At 16 years old you're more vulnerable than a woman his own age, and I'm sure he's already realized that by now. It's already clear he's willing to take advantage of that, otherwise he wouldn't have made out with you while you were upset and emotionally vulnerable. It sounds like both of you have a bit of growing up to do, honestly.

So it'll only be a year and a half. But in September, when school starts up again, he will be working part time for the school as my coach, so that's why I was wondering if it's legal to do things until then.

Everything is legal up until sex. It is legal for a 16 year old to have sex so long as the older person isn't in some kind of authority position over the minor. So basically you could legally have sex.

But other than that, you should consider what it means when a 22 year old wants to have sex with a 16 year old. Or have any kind of sexual relationship.
