writes: I'm 13 and I've never had a boyfriend. Everyone else seems to have had one. There are girls in my form that have been out with sooo many boys. They have like 10 different ones every year and have been going out with people since they were like 8. Why isn't there one guy that will go out with me?

reader, anonymous, writes (15 February 2010): I know exactly how you feel. I've asked out heaps of guys that I like and they all said no. Only one guy asked me out and I didn't like him at all.
People say, you're too young for a boyfriend but all my friends have one and it totally gets to me. It's normal, trust me. I know it can be hard to think otherwise but it's ok, really.
Just be yourself, that's what guys really like. xox

 I'm 14, nearly 15, and never been asked out or had any sort of male attention in my entire life. Don't sweat, there's nothing wrong with you. Concentrate on your studies and have fun with your mates, and the right guy will come along when it's the right time.

But becuase I've left it so long, I want my first boyfriend to be special.. and the one I love.. I'm also worried about telling my parents!I'm in love with this guy buy get myself down about him thinking I'm just 'another girl'.But I know I'm probably just putting myself down.If you are like me, the good thing you know is that when you get the one you love, your first relationship should be serious.. and 'kissable!'.Also I think boys don't like me becuase I'm cleverer than them.. but never dumb yourself down.. Just WAIT.And it will be EXTRA special.Lets hope us single 13 year olds get the ones we love! :D

All of my friends have been asked out at least 4 times this year and I haven't properly been asked out in my entire life!!! There is nothing wrong with you..people lyk us are just waiting and when the right guy comes along u will no and something will just click then u'll 4get about al of ur previous worries. I have decided not to let it get to me and I recommend you do the same.

Obviously they were to young and It didn't work out so the bright side is you havn't had to go through all the trouble.I am 13 at the moment and I havn't had or gotten a boyfriend EVER and I don't care. none of my friends have because we are all waiting together, I like a guy but hes taken so im just hanging around for someone to ask me you should do the same. and you don't have to take my advice becaus e it's your life and your decision so either make a move or don't thats the choices in life.Hope it all works out for you in the end xxx

I am also 13, and I turn 14 in just under 7 months, and I've never had a boyfriend. I know what you mean when you say everyone else seems to have had one - it does seem that way! I am famously shy and that is the main reason why I have never had a boyfriend. are you shy too?
Sometimes I feel like I am not loved, and no boy will ever like me because I'm ugly, geeky and my ears stick out, but other times, I think what the heck? What is the point of getting a boyfriend when you are just 13 anyway? What would you do with one? Kiss him, maybe. But would it be true love, or just fake love that you have for him to try and make you look cool in front of all your friends? Sometimes young girlfriends and boyfriends can get carried away and end up in deep trouble because their feelings ran away with them and they had sex.
So think about it. Do you really need a boyfriend, or is it something you should have when you are older? Trust me, there is nothing wrong with you at all.

Don't worry about it, it'll be more special once it does happen for you. Never rush things.

But who is the one that looks bad You or them? My advice to you is that you just need to be patient, You will get your chance, you have a whole life ahead of you! Kids your age only want to play around and have no idea of what love is all about. You will realize it as time passes, you will learn the true meaning of love. Most teenagers now, only want to experience with sex, since its something so new to them. So most likely if you were to have a boyfriend right now, they would only want to use you for sex, yeah they might develop some feelings, but at this age they are not sure what they really want.

 You are probably going to hear this alot but you are so young, you have got all the time in the world to be thinking of relationships and boyfriends. So what if people in your year have had boyfriends already. it does not mean that there are not guys that don't fancy you, because im sure there are plenty but are just to shy to say anything. Relax, enjoy the joys of being 13, have fun with your mates, and sure enough you will meet a guy when you very least expect it.
