Laura1318 agony auntYou don't have to tell your parents that he is your b/f .

Just tell them that he is a very good friend if they asked you.

xXBeccaTxX agony auntI don't know why you feel you need to tell you parents.

Some things CAN be kept between you and your m8s.

If you don't feel right about not telling them, then tell them.Or if you think they will be upset if you don't tell them. I'm 13 and one of my boyfriends when i as 12,i REALLY liked, But he was one of the "naughty kids" an my parents didn't/don't like him. It made no difference to me and i told them every time i went out with him.

If they dissaprove then fine, let them. It's your life and they will get to know he's not that bad if they do.

OVERALL IT'S UP TO YOU,IT DEPENDS IF YOU WANT THEM TO KNOW:

(but WOULD tell them,it will amke your relationship easier and less strained)

A reader, anonymous, writes (13 April 2008):

Don't you think they will disapprove more if you don't tell them? It'll hurt them if you have a relationship and you don't tell them - they'll think that you don't trust them...and they might not be able to trust you anymore.

It is best to tell the truth - keep your parents on your side. It'll put a strain on your relationship if you have to sneak around keeping things secret.

It'll be hard telling them - but it is something, in my opinion, that should be done. Goodluck. x x x
