I want my crush to notice me more and talk to me.

A female United Kingdom age 22-25, anonymous writes:

Hi,

I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm 15 years old and there's this boy in my year. I don't really know him that well but we have mutual friends. The craziest thing is I can't stop thinking about him, I get butterflies everytime I see him and I blush. I really like him and I've caught him looking at me a lot.

I added him on BBM (like a social app thing) and I really want to talk to him but I don't know what to say. I don't want to be like honest and confident. I just need a conversation starter to talk to him that's quite subtle.

It's coming to the point where my crush is literally all I think about. I want him to notice me more and talk to me.

What should I do?!

Thanks,

Olivia

You've gotten some good advice already, but I thought I should add that once you've gotten the chance to talk to him a bit, you might have to just tell him how you feel.

When I was you're age, I was a very shy boy, and still am to some extent. Even if he does like you, he might be too scared to tell you, especially if he hasn't had much experience with relationships. Someone has to say how they feel for it to go anywhere, it might as well be you. If you're uncomfortable, you could give him the chance to ask you first, but I wouldn't recommend waiting very long.

You could always ask a question about homework and lead it into a conversation

Just send him a message saying something like 'hey, how's life?' it's a conversation starter that makes it look like nothing more than you're looking for someone to chat to for a while.

When he answers, don't seem desperate, make him wait a little while for an answer, not too long, but long enough to make him think about you.
