(20 minutes away from Mickey Mouse!! =P) I am a student at the University of Central Florida: Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences- College of Medicine. My major is molecular, microbiology and neuroscience. I also have a degree in chemistry. School is my life and I love it!
Im in my early twenties...but I feel much younger and I prolly act much younger at times too and im not afraid to admit it. Its fun going back to childhood once and awhile! I don't want to grow up and I feel that being young at heart is important to enjoying life. But at the same time, I do handle my schoolwork, and other grown up stuff in a timely and mature manner as biologically and resposibility wise, I am an adult. But I don't let it get me down!
Career wise, I hope to earn my M.D./Ph.d degree and become a physician scientist. I want to practice neurosurgery and become a pioneering surgeon- developing new surgical techniques in spine trauma and perform research to restore people's ability to walk. Scientists are doing preliminary research on this right now and by the time I am done with school, I hope to join them. It may take nearly two decades or more until this surgery can be perfromed on humans as it is utilizing entirely new technology and medical advancements. (ie stem cells). But eventually, when it is perfected, we may be able to help those who lost their ability to walk in accidents...amazing! I also would love to teach and speak at medical conferences too. I want to go as far as I can in the field I love and make a huge contribution to medicine!! The possibilities are endless in the neuroscience field!!
I have only been in two relationships. But I have learned from them and feel I can offer good advice. My friends said I give very good advice so hopefully I can help people on here too. I am currently single now and just going with the flow. Right now, I am just concentrating on my education, staying healthy and achieving my dream career! :-)
