You should post on the main site. To answer your question however, it depends partly on the guy, and it also depends on the type of person you are. So based on your comment, I am guessing that you are less-assertive and more passive, but this doesn't mean you're a rock that won't move.
For myself, it doesn't matter. If she contacts me first, I just think of it as a friend who wants to go out, and vice versa.
