Age For Sex?

I'm only 12 but i'm still curious about sex.Is there a certain age for sex or an age that is most common to have sex?Also if i had sex would something bad happen to me since i'm young?

45.. neah.. not thsat long.. I would say 16 is a safe number.. 12 is too young. and something bad can happen if you have sex at any age.. moreso when you are 12 because at that age many people lack the knowledge to know better. Sex is more than just a physical act which is often mistaken.. It's emotional as well which is overlooked. At a young age, you may be emotionally scarred into having bad sexual relationships as you grow older.. Don't be too much in a rush to have sex, you have many years ahead for that.

yes i agree 16 is the age for concent and this is when most people are more mature and hopefully they are becoming adults

Apart from the emotional scarring that Tux mentioned and of course the risk of sexually transmitted diseases, girls who have sex at a young age put themselves at a much higher risk of cervical cancer when they are older. Strangely enough the nuns at my old school never told me that one...just that I would burn in hell for all eternity for sex out of wedlock...go figure.

I agree you should wait until you're older. Don't do anything too much yet - you'll look back on it later and regret it. The most mature thing you can do right now is realise you're not mature enough for a full-blown sexual relationship!

I waited till I was 21 and I think that was too long in alot of ways. I think its a question of when you feel you are ready and how you feel, i dont think there is a set-in-stone right or wrong answer.

And - when it does NOT feel right - DON'T DO IT!!!; i.e. If you are under age, without protection, or with a stranger, or because your friends are making you feel odd about not 'doing it' (I bet they are not); with someone who does not have your best interests at heart - you catch my drift? Be responsible, and don't take risks you will regret, and end up yet another unhappy statistic pushing a pram around, or carrying a dangerous disease... Make the most of other things in your life - travel a bit, learn about the world. You are too young to get bogged down worrying about sex - it isn't the be-all and end-all, and once you have lost your precious virginity, that's it, you can't get it back!!! Take care, and don't be in too much of a hurry to be grown-up - it takes a lot more than just having sex! Take care, I'll climb down off this soap box now, before I get dizzy!!! x

hey,well I`m 17 years old.. and I made sex last year.. I think depends of your boyfriend.. if you are sure he is the best guy who ever met you are ready for sex.. But if he is a backage.. he dosen`t deserve you..;o) well,you are only 12.. you are to small,to feel the sense of sex.. ;o) `coz if you make sex,you will be disapointed and you`ll never notice the amazing part of sex.. And.. doesn`t happen any bad thing if you make sex now.. only will be grieve.. ;)
