She's the queen of my double wide trailer

With the polyester curtains and the redwood deck

Sometimes shes runs and I've got to trail her

Dang her black heart and her pretty red neck

...........

Get your tongue out of my mouth

I'm kissing you goodbye

...........

Drop kick me Jesus through the goal posts of life

One of my favourites but I altered it a little...I hope this doesn't offend any Elvis fans. (Sing-a-long...if you dare)

--------------------------

Oh I just can't help believin'

When I died from over-eating

With a trace of all them burgers

And the promise of more steak fries for my breakfast.

**

I just can't help believin'

When my steaks' are close beside me

And my gut needs feeding constantly

with fo-oo-ood

**

This time my heart will just explode

This time my arse will follow mo'ode

For more than just a day

**

Oh I just can't help believin'

When I slip right off my toilet

And it starts to over flow now

With my left-o-overs

**

I just can't help believin'

When they find me still secreting

And I am much too heavy to pick u-u-up

**

This time i've blown it now for sure

This time i'm now just cow manure

For more than just a day

Doodoo doo doodoo doo doo

Sandy e junior - Malia

It's an Italian song...

"I ask not what blessed place

Was your home until now!

I ask you not if you are a nymph, a fairy,

If a pale spirit..."

etc. :)

Did you say Italian?....

When the moon hits you eye lika jellied eel pie

That's amore

When the world seems to feel like you've had too much eel

That's amore

Bells will ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling

And you'll sing jellied eelsa

Hearts will play tippy-tippy-tay, tippy-tippy-tay

Like eel pie mash and liquor

**

When the eels make you drool just like me play the fool

That's amore

When you swallow them whole it's delightful you know

You're in love

When you walk in a line you weel see it's a sign

Dream signore

Scuzza me, but you seel, back in old Napoleel

That's amore

**

{Don't you just love those romantic Italians?}

This is the one for me tisha hope you like xxxxx

Stillness filled the Heavens, on crucifixion day.

Some say it rained, I don't know if it's true.

Well, I can just imagine ten thousand angels cried

That would seem like rain to me and you.

The angels all stood ready to take Him from the tree

They waited for the words from His voice.

And when he asked the father why has thou forsaken me.

They watched the saviour die of his own choice.

I've never seen ten thousand angels cry

But I'm sure they did

As they stood by

And watched the saviour die.

God turned his head away

He couldn't bear the sight

It must have looked like rain

When ten thousand angels cried.

As the sun slipped away

The skies turned to grey

And when Jesus gave his all

That's when the tears began to fall

I've never seen ten thousand angels cry

But I'm sure they did

As they stood by

And watched the saviour die.

God turned his head away

He couldn't bear the sight

It must have looked like rain

When ten thousand angels cried.

It must have looked like rain

When ten thousand angels cried.

Cupid, draw back your bow and let your arrow go

Straight to my lover's heart for me, for me

Cupid, please hear my cry and let your arrow fly

Straight to my lover's heart for me

Now, I don't mean to bother you but I'm in distress

There's danger of me losin' all of my happiness

For I love a girl who doesn't know I exist

And this you can fix

So, Cupid, draw back your bow and let your arrow go

Straight to my lover's heart for me, nobody but me

Cupid, please hear my cry and let your arrow fly

Straight to my lover's heart for me

Now, Cupid if your arrow make a love storm for me

I promise I will love her until eternity

I know between the two of us her heart we can steal

Help me if you will

So, Cupid, draw back your bow and let your arrow go

Straight to my lover's heart for me, nobody but me

Cupid, please hear my cry and let your arrow fly

Straight to my lover's heart for me

Now, Cupid, don't you hear me

Callin' you, I need you

Cupid, help me

Good old 50s song Ithink it was the fifties by sam cooke eh! Bigsis...Here is one of my favs by jack johnson.....

There's no combination of words

I could put on the back of a postcard

No song that I could sing

But I can try for your heart,

our dreams, and they are made out of real things

like a shoebox of photographs

with sepia-toned loving

Love is the answer

at least for most of the questions in my heart, like

Why are we here? And where do we go?

And how come it's so hard?

It's not always easy and

sometimes life can be deceiving

I'll tell you one thing, it's always better when we're together

Mmmm, It's always better when we're together

Yeah we'll look at the stars and we're together

Well, it's always better when we're together

Yeah it's always better when we're together

And all of these moments

just might find their way into my dreams tonight,

But I know that they’ll be gone

when the morning light sings

and brings new things

for tomorrow night you see

that they’ll be gone too,

too many things I have to do

But if all of these dreams might find their way

into my day to day scene

I'd be under the impression

i was somewhere in between

With only two,

Just me and you,

Not so many things we got to do

or places we got to be

We'll sit beneath the mango tree, now,

Yeah It's always better when we're together

Mmmm, we're somewhere in between together

Well, it's always better when we're together

Yeah, it's always better when we're together

I believe in memories

they look so, so pretty when I sleep

Hey now, and when I wake up,

you look so pretty sleeping next to me

But there is not enough time,

There is no, no song I could sing

and there is no combination of words I could say

but I will still tell you one thing

We're Better together

Jack Johnson...great tunes and original too.

One of my faves, Amy MacDonald

"I Wish For Something More"

Oh the sun is shining far too bright

For it to still be night

Oh the air feels so cold

So cold and old

How can it be light

Oh let's take a walk outside

See the world through each other's eyes

I wish I was your only one

I think you're beautiful but your hair is a mess

And your shoes are untied, but that's what I love best.

**

And I, I wish I was the one

You lonely, lonely son

And you looked at me that way

I wish for long lingering glances

Fairytale romances every single day.

**

And you look at me and say

I'm your best friend every day

But I wish for something, wish for something more.

Oh, I love you like a friend but let's not pretend

How I wish for something, wish for something more.

**

Oh the grass is so green

But I can't see anything, past your eyes

I'm fixated on your smile

Your cherry lips make life worthwhile

I'm thinking these things

What I'm trying to say is

Life gets in my way

Every single day.

**

And I, I wish I was the one

You lonely, lonely son

And you looked at me that way

I wish for long lingering glances

Fairytale romances every single day

And you look at me and say

I'm your best friend every day

But I wish for something, wish for something more.

Oh, I love you like a friend but let's not pretend

How I wish for something, wish for something more.

**

Now the sun is fading and the rain is coming down

And I'm looking at your face but your looking at the ground

I see diamonds in your dreams I see pearls around your neck

I see everything that's beautiful, everything that's beautiful.

**

I wish I was the one

You lonely, lonely son

And you looked at me that way

I wish for long lingering glances

Fairytale romances every single day

And you look at me and say

I'm your best friend every day

But I wish for something, wish for something more

Oh, I love you like a friend but let's not pretend

How I wish for something, wish for something more

Though we've got to say good-bye

For the summer

Darling, I promise you this

I'll send you all my love

Everyday in a letter

Sealed with a kiss

Yes it's gonna be cold, lonely summer

But I'll fill the emptiness

I'll send you all my dreams

Everyday in a letter

Sealed with a kiss

I'll see you in the sunlight

I'll hear your voice everywhere

I'll run to tenderly hold you

But, Darlin' you won't be there

I don't wanna say good-bye

For the summer

Knowing the love we'll miss

Let us make a pledge

To meet in September

And seal it with a kiss

Sealed with a kiss

Sealed with a kiss

Sealed with a kiss

AH! I just love that one what lovely memorys :)

It's astounding

Time is fleeting

Madness takes its toll

But listen closely

(Oh, not for very much longer)

I've got to keep control

I remember doing the time-warp

Drinking those moments when

The Blackness would hit me

And the void would be calling

Let's do the time-warp again

Let's do the time-warp again

It's just a jump to the left

And then a step to the right

Put your hands on your hips

You bring your knees in tight

But it's the pelvic thrust

That really drives you insane

Let's do the time-warp again

Let's do the time-warp again

It's so dreamy, oh fantasy free me

So you can't see me,

No, not at all

In another dimension

With voyeuristic intention

Well secluded, I see all

With a bit of a mind flip

You're into the time slip

And nothing can ever be the same

You're spaced out on sensation

Like you're under sedation

Let's do the time-warp again

Let's do the time-warp again

Well I was walking down the street

just a-having a think

When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink

He shook-a me up, he took me by surprise

He had a pickup truck, and the devil's eyes

He stared at me and I felt a change

Time meant nothing, never would again

Let's do the time-warp again

Let's do the time-warp again

It's just a jump to the left

And then a step to the right

Put your hands on your hips

You bring your knees in tight

But it's the pelvic thrust

That really drives you insane

Let's do the time-warp again

Let's do the time-warp again

Let's do the time-warp again

And now, folks, a song for a very special person in our lives:

.

.

I remember all my life

raining down as cold as ice,

Shadows of a man,

a face through a window cryin' in the night,

the night goes into

*

Morning just another day;

happy people pass my way.

Looking in their eyes,

I see a memory I never realized

how happy you made me.

*

Oh Mandy well,

you came and you gave without taking,

but I sent you away.

Oh Mandy well

you kissed me and stopped me from shaking,

and I need you today. Oh, Mandy!

*

I'm standing on the edge of time;

I've walked away when love was mine.

Caught up in a world of uphill climbing,

the tears are in my mind

and nothin' is rhyming.

*

Oh Mandy well

you came and you gave without taking,

but I sent you away.

Oh, Mandy well,

you kissed me and stopped me from shaking,

and I need you today. Oh, Mandy!

*

Love these songs; great oldies, I guess we qualify as oldies too!

The summer wind came blowin' in

from across the sea

It lingered there to touch your hair

and walk with me...

I know there's lots more to it but I have to go look it up.

I had a date once who sang this song to me as we strolled under an umbrella in the rain. Such a great memory.

No one to walk with, All by myself,

No one to talk with, I'm happy on a shelf,

Ain't Misbehavin', Saving my love for you.

I don't stay out late, No where to go,

I'm home about eight, Just me and my radio,

Ain't Misbehavin', saving my love for you.

Like Jack Horner, In a corner,

Don't go nowhere, What do I care?

Your kisses are worth waiting for, Believe me!

I know for certain, The one I love,

I'm through with flirting, Your the one I'm thinking of!

Ain't Misbehavin'!

Saving my Love for You!

I love this oldie and used to sing it to my kids when my husband traveled! Still do!

Nice one, Birdy, I love that one too.

The summer wind, came blowin in - from across the sea

It lingered there, so warm and fair - to walk with me

All summer long, we sang a song - and strolled on golden sand

Two sweethearts, and the summer wind

Like painted kites, those days and nights - went flyin by

The world was new, beneath a blue - umbrella sky

Then softer than, a piper man - one day it called to you

And I lost you, to the summer wind

The autumn wind, and the winter wind - have come and gone

And still the days, those lonely days - go on and on

And guess who sighs his lullabies - through nights that never end

My fickle friend, the summer wind

Mandy that song was my dad's favourite too, I remember singing that when i was about 5 or 6...(about 20yrs ago.....I wish!)

Another of his favourites;

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket

Never let it fade away

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket

Save it for a rainy day

.

For love may come and tap you on the shoulder some starless night

Just in case you feel you want to hold her

You'll have a pocketful of starlight

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket

Never let it fade away

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket

Save it for a rainy day

.

For love may come and tap you on the shoulder some starless night

Just in case you feel you want to hold her

You'll have a pocketful of starlight ...Pocketful of starlight, hm,hm,hm,hm,hm,hm

.

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket

Never let it fade away

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket

Save it for a rainy day

Save it for a rainy, save it for a rainy, rainy, rainy, day

.

For when your troubles start multiplyin' and they just might

It's easy to forget them without tryin'

With just a pocketful of starlight

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket

Never let it fade away

Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket

.

Save it for a rainy day

Save it for a rainy day

When I was a little girl, I went with my parents to see "Mary Poppins..a children's classic starring the legendary Julie Andrews. I loved the movie. One song has always stayed in my heart...all of these years. And that was "Feed the Birds'. She sang it beautifully. Funy how some songs you hear..stand out.

________________

Early each day to the steps of Saint Paul's

The little old bird woman comes

In her own special way to the people she call,

"Come, buy my bags full of crumbs

Come feed the little birds,

Show them you care

And you'll be glad if you do

Their young ones are hungry

Their nests are so bare

All it takes is tuppence from you

Feed the birds, tuppence a bag

Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag

Feed the birds," that's what she cries

While overhead, her birds fill the skies

All around the cathedral the saints and apostles

Look down as she sells her wares

Although you can't see it,

You know they are smiling

Each time someone shows that he cares

Though her words are simple and few

Listen, listen, she's calling to you

"Feed the birds, tuppence a bag

Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag"

Tisha, my mother's favourite....

When I was just a little girl

I asked my mother, what will I be

Will I be pretty, will I be rich

Here's what she said to me.

Que Sera, Sera,

Whatever will be, will be

The future's not ours, to see

Que Sera, Sera

What will be, will be.

When I was young, I fell in love

I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead

Will we have rainbows, day after day

Here's what my sweetheart said.

Que Sera, Sera,

Whatever will be, will be

The future's not ours, to see

Que Sera, Sera

What will be, will be.

Now I have children of my own

They ask their mother, what will I be

Will I be handsome, will I be rich

I tell them tenderly.

Que Sera, Sera,

Whatever will be, will be

The future's not ours, to see

Que Sera, Sera

What will be, will be.

My granny used to sing this one to me!

There is a flower

Within my heart,

Daisy, Daisy!

Planted one day

By a glancing dart,

Planted by Daisy Bell!

Whether she loves me

Or loves me not,

Sometimes it's hard to tell;

Yet I am longing to share the lot -

Of beautiful Daisy Bell!

Daisy, Daisy,

Give me your answer do!

I'm half crazy,

All for the love of you!

It won't be a stylish marriage,

I can't afford a carriage

But you'll look sweet upon the seat

Of a bicycle built for two.

We will go “tandem”

As man and wife,

Daisy, Daisy!

“Peddling” away

Down the road of life,

I and my Daisy Bell!

When the road's dark

We can both despise

P'licemen and “lamps” as well;

There are “bright lights”

In the dazzling eyes

Of beautiful Daisy Bell!

Daisy, Daisy,

Give me your answer do!

I'm half crazy,

All for the love of you!

It won't be a stylish marriage,

I can't afford a carriage

But you'll look sweet upon the seat

Of a bicycle built for two.

I will stand by you

In weal or woe,

Daisy, Daisy!

You'll be the bell(e)

Which I'll ring you know!

Sweet little Daisy Bell!

You'll take the “lead”

In each “trip” we take,

Then if I don't do well,

I will permit you to

Use the brake,

My beautiful Daisy bell..
